Huanglongbing (HLB) Diagnostic Lab

Now in our sixth year serving the citrus community!

Welcome to the HLB Diagnostic Lab at UF/IFAS/SWFREC in Immokalee. We are a new facility dedicated to the molecular diagnostics of Huanglongbing (HLB), also known as Greening disease of citrus. We are currently accepting suspect HLB citrus samples from growers, researchers and homeowners.

We now test for HLB in psyllids. This new service is available to growers for detection of HLB in psyllids, the insect vector for citrus greening. If you are interested in this service please contact us at (239) 658-3431 and we will be happy to assist you.

What happens to samples after they arrive at the HLB Lab?
