State Specialized Agent, Food Science

Matt Krug began at SWFREC in April as a Food Science State Specialized Extension Agent. He recently obtained his master’s degree in food science at Kansas State University in Manhattan.
Matt is housed at the SWFREC and assists in the teaching of food safety workshops around the state of Florida. He also provides oversight to the food quality lab within the Culinary Accelerator located at the Immokalee Airport, which will open later in 2017.
