Livestock Exhibitor Information

The purpose of the livestock exhibition is to encourage purebred cattle ranches to exhibit cattle at the Trade Show.  There are very few opportunities which offer more contact with Florida ranchers in a single setting than the Florida Cattlemen's Institute.   The past few years the Florida Cattlemen's Institute attendance has risen above 600 cattlemen.

In the past years, the cattle exhibits were displayed in the barn next to the main arena, but separate from the rest of the trade Show.  Last year, cattle were displayed under a tent just outside the trade Show hall just across from the equipment displays.  This change helped to ensure the cattle get the highest level of attention from the cattlemen attending the Trade Show.  The one cattle exhibitor at the Florida Cattlemen's Institute last year  was able to make several contacts with cattlemen, resulting in sales to three ranches as a direct result of the exhibit.

The cattle on display will be placed in 10' x 20' pens made with heavy gauge WW type panels.  The 10' x 20' area will allow for two mature animals, three yearlings or four calves and an area for a display to promote the ranch or breed, etc.

The cost for each 10' x 20' pen is $200.00.  If you cannot display animals, but would like to set up a booth inside the Trade Show Hall, the cost is $150.00.  The proceeds from the Exhibitors go to pay for Florida Cattlemen's Institute expenses.   Each exhibitor will receive five Steak Cookout tickets and 30 Barbecue lunch tickets.  The Steak Cookout is Wednesday, January 20, 1999, at 6:30 p.m.  A Happy Hour is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m..  The Barbecue lunch tickets are for exhibitors to distribute to Cattlemen who visit their booth.
